Harry’s Home Boarding & Daycare for Dogs is a heartfelt creation, born from our deep love for our furry friends. A few years ago, we embarked on a journey with a little venture called 'Pets and Pads - Walks and House Minding', which started as a way for us to keep active together. With years of house-sitting experience from our younger days and caring for our own dogs and those of friends and family, we never expected that walking a few dogs would blossom into such a wonderful demand—especially after lockdown and the rise in dog ownership. During this time, Ryan dedicated his time to volunteering at the Dogs Trust, and despite the challenges, we decided to take our small venture to the next level.

Over the past two years, we’ve lovingly cared for over 200 dogs and house-sat in numerous homes across Kent. We rented a quaint little flat in Deal, but we only spent about a month there during our lease due to the overwhelming demand for our pet care services. Envisioning a warm and welcoming home for our furry guests, we took a leap of faith and made an offer on a house—and we were over the moon when it was accepted! After several months of renovations, we transformed our space into a dog-friendly haven, complete with wooden floors, safety gates, and an enclosed garden, all just a short stroll from some of Kent’s most beautiful dog-friendly parks and gardens.

In loving memory of a cherished Labrador we cared for, who sadly never had the chance to stay with us, we felt a strong urge to rebrand our business. He was one of the oldest Labs we had known, at 14 years old, and he was a true character and a wonderful companion. We wanted to honour his spirit by naming our venture **Harry’s Home Boarding**. Since then, we’ve secured our licence, completing over 30 hours of exams and extensive preparation to ensure we provide the highest standard of care for every dog that comes through our doors.

At Harry’s, we create a cosy home-from-home atmosphere—no cages or kennels here! Dogs are free to roam as they please and can snuggle up wherever they want, even on the bed. We’re licensed to care for four furry friends at a time, ensuring that each one receives the love and attention they deserve without feeling overlooked or overwhelmed.
