About Me

My name is Ryan, and I am a Level 3 qualified dog groomer. Together with my partner Ben, we established Harry’s Home Boarding and Daycare. Our journey into dog care began when we were unable to have a dog of our own in our previous rental property. We started by walking dogs, volunteering, and house-sitting for families with dogs... lots of dogs!

In addition to our home boarding and daycare services, we now offer professional dog grooming. I have set up a fully equipped grooming cabin in my garden to ensure every dog receives the highest standard of care in a comfortable setting. We are also pleased to provide a free door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service, making it even easier for your dog to enjoy our grooming services. R x

Aggressive or Poorly Socialised Dogs

We reserve the right to refuse or stop a groom if a dog shows aggression or poses a safety risk. The full fee will still apply. Owners are liable under the Dangerous Dogs Act for any bites or injuries.

Toileting

Please ensure your dog is toileted before the appointment.

Grooming Feedback

We will inform you of any issues or concerns after each session. This is also your opportunity to raise any questions.

Matted or Neglected Coats

We operate humanity before vanity. Severely matted coats may be clipped off in line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Extra charges apply due to the additional time and equipment wear.

Your details are held securely and never shared without consent.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will be charged in full. No further bookings will be taken until fees are settled.

Flea Policy

Dogs must arrive flea-free. If fleas are found:

 

  • Groom will stop immediately.
  • £30 surcharge for salon sanitisation, flea bombing, and cleaning all equipment.
  • If other bookings are cancelled, the full groom fee + £80 loss-of-earnings fee will also be charged.
